2 September 2025, Ljungby, Sweden – PS Energi officially opened its first hydrogen refueling station in Sweden today. Strategically located along the E4 highway in Ljungby, it is the first of many stations that PS Energi plans to open across the country. This is a significant step in the country's shift towards clean, hydrogen-powered mobility.

Situated opposite the hydrogen production facility of Strandmøllen, PS Energi’s partner in supplying locally produced hydrogen, the Ljungby station is ideally located. The project has also received support from the Swedish government through the “Klimatklivet” subsidy programme, highlighting the national importance of investing in sustainable energy infrastructure.

Backed by its main shareholder, MB Energy, the opening of the Ljungby station is a significant step in establishing sustainable hydrogen infrastructure in Sweden. The station enables refuelling at both 350 bar and 700 bar, making it suitable for heavy-duty vehicles such as trucks and buses, as well as passenger cars.

The Ljungby hydrogen refueling station is the first in Sweden built with Resato Hydrogen Technology, highlighting the trust that PS Energi has placed in the Dutch hydrogen specialist. Alongside Ljungby, the Oskarshamn station is also nearing completion. MB Energy has recently signed contracts for two additional hydrogen stations, demonstrating their confidence in Resato as a partner and their long-term commitment to building a robust hydrogen network in Sweden.

“With this opening, we are proud to contribute to clean mobility in Sweden powered by hydrogen. It highlights our strong collaboration with PS Energi and MB Energy, and we look forward to supporting their ambitions for a reliable and sustainable hydrogen network,” said Rob Castien, CEO of Resato Hydrogen Technology.

Today in Ljungby, invited partners, the press, and local stakeholders gathered to celebrate this important milestone in Sweden's transition to clean mobility.
